Welcome to like 2 years ago.....
2 years 6 months and ~ a week ago.
But just got hired into Via. Hmm.....
I don’t remember AUS being that great of a city for branded. Oh, the good times... I remember one day we were going to MCI from there and an OKC flight was right next to us. Guess which bags went where? AUS flights to Oklahoma were always pretty light.
Who buys a ticket on some no name airline flying an rj
Viva aqua fresh! (Even if this plane is now flown by the competition)
Circa summer 2010 after the first of the CA requals, furlough recalls, and charter shutdown;
ORD Ground: "eagle, you follow that, uhhh, Miami Dolphin looking thingy from your right"
Any cheapskate searching for the lowest price to get from point A to B
I've heard good things from someone who flew on them. Seems okay to me. The jets look pretty nice, and people hate the TSA/big airport cattle herding so much...
That’s not VIA....
They keep saying EMB-135 in that video, but it’s looks like an Eagle 140/145 (tail 728AE). They’re gonna regret getting rid of the right side overhead rail the FA’s hold on to during turbulence. Otherwise, the old girl cleans up nice.
What they don’t mention in that video is that the pilots have almost no experience because if they did they wouldn’t work there. When I buy airline tickets I actually try to avoid regional airlines if possible due to the level of experience these days. If not possible I will go with places that have less seniority movement and a history of strong safety culture. That usually means xjt and Skywest (sorry guys).
I wouldn’t for a second put my family on some rj operator like via or jetsuite.
The problem is the average passenger has no idea. My neighbor is over the airline experience and apparently has enough money to fly private. He asked me about it and I told him these days I wouldn’t fly on a charter operation no matter how much money I had. Told him just to continue to buy first class tickets
