So I’ve been here 5 years and I’ve used my travel benefits once. One of my brothers asked to be put on as an enrolled friend so I put him on. For his first go at flying standby he asked if I’d set him up for a trip to Bali. I don’t commute and I don’t nonrev. So listing, using flying together, etc is new to me. Anyways, this evening I’ve learned that apparently United does not fly to Bali Indonesia thus my brother cannot nonrev to Bali.

Sound about right to any of you seasoned nonrev travelers?

Bali? Wow...thats a heck of a trip for first Nonrev.

Yes, sounds about right, but keep in mind any place that is popular will be difficult to visit as a Nonrev anyway. Heck I've had bad luck getting to Rome.

Bob mentioned Singapore, but those flights are very tough to get on-it's a 787 at the very edge of its range, so that means weight restrictions. Tokyo is generally a good gateway to Asia with plenty of open seats on some days, and from there you buy a ticket to wherever you need to go, but it is another 8 hours to DPS.
