I was really surprised when we brought them back from the desert a few years ago.

    The were nice to fly.

I don’t understand why we are giving our XR’s to the sh*tbag Commutair operation, and then pulling old turds to polish outta the desert...

The economics of it is easy, they’re cheaper than Exjet.
No other regional will ever have the benefits negotiated by calex, ever again.
Inc has to wipe the industry clean of any evidence that it ever existed.
    Stay cheap and stay employed.
The old garbage given to Exjet is to slap your face while you toil in the death throes.
    Tfayd!!!

CPAs and pro-rate flying contracts are tied to specific tail numbers, as are lease terms. Simple economics. If Inc doesn’t want to pay a rate they don’t like or think they can make money on, the tail goes to another UAX carrier.

I heard we are currently flying 91. That’s all we can staff at the moment.

I counted 112 on the flow board last week. Not sure if that included the one where management was pleading to have someone volunteer to repo a “lease back” aircraft to ALB for CommuteAir to graciously receive.

On the flow board for today, AC# 115 is listed as a lease return. Yet another XR gone.

Was talking to a Trans States guy the other day where have was bragging about the new 145s with winglets they’re flying now. I was in my civies, so he had no idea who I was. When I told him, he shut up and avoided me like when a dude realizes he was getting sloppy seconds after unintentionally bragging about his new chick to the old boyfriend.

Looks like they’re flying them out of DEN. I had no idea they had a base there.

Probably explains why there haven’t been any relief lines in DEN for a while.

    (Low hanging fruit/djd bait worked)

A couple months ago I was sitting next to a young TSA whippersnapper.

He was doing his logbook, I glanced and saw the destinations DRO, MTJ, RAP, GJT, etc.

I asked him “you DEN based and go to those place?”

    He responded bad “yeah”

I said “I used to fly those planes to those places till UAL handed them over to you guys”

    Him “wow, cool”

I don’t think he quite realized what I said of had the awareness the dude you talked to did.

I felt like Leonardo DiCaprio in that “Inception” scene that’s a popular meme.
