Not sure about the staffing part, but the aircraft will be the remaining 7 EV 145XRs.

Uh...no! According to the United fleet spreadsheet we have 36 XRs and under 145(LR) there is a note saying "expect 5 more transfers from ExJet to TS" That note may be misplaced. It most likely would be XRs I would think.

Either way INC is treating us like red headed step children and setting us up to fail. So legacy SKW can swipe in and take over the trail that we have blazed

So, just to see if you’re paying attention.
AA flying conclusion is a loss of 22 AC
Ucal contract is for 20 AC
With the loss of 7 er’s that adds up to an over all loss of 9.
Must not be too confident on the body count.
    I’m thinking ~ 200

This fall will be interesting and September will probably be "Black September" as CRJ crews beat feet after the bonuses end. Kalitta is in ATL doing interviews today and tomorrow and hiring just about every CRJ pilot they can get their hands on who is able to do 16 days on. But DAL wants us to do more flying in September out of ATL for them... because you know, we suck. And we're supposed to field the UAL CRJ flying in what... October? Those who were worried about 100's of CRJ crews flooding over to the ERJ can breath easier. Right now I'll be surprised if they let any of us. Heck, we may have to hire into the CRJ side soon to complete the flying we have. Right now we are below 400 line pilots (as of a week ago), plus another 40 or so IP/management/ALPA pilots.

There’s a mass exodus coming mid-September. Heard from a friend that K4 hired 24 ASA guys yesterday in ATL. INSANE!

More interviews today. More planned for the near future.
I had predicted earlier that less than 400 CRJ pilots would be around for the ERJ transition. Now predicting less than 200 as we are already below 400.

I’m not saying that good things are coming....because I know how unlikely it is.....but IF there were good things coming, especially something that makes this place attractive to new hires......why NOT drag it out and get the expensive senior dudes to leave? Staffing the operation is cheaper with new hires.

Where are new hires coming from? Pilot mills are scarce.

XJT has become the Field of Broken Dreams. The new motto: Rape it and they will run.

The ability we now have as pilots to bail from one airline to go to another should help our bargaining position in the upcoming negotiations. Free market is based on choice.
