It will be interesting to see what they do. Obviously, a good number will go to IAH. Those who can't initially hold IAH...

...I gotta wonder how many of those may have never sat Left seat before too. Now, they will be left seat in heavies within 2yrs of hire. Wow!

Granted it’s not their first pilot job, but I remember flying with some of our 2yr wonders over here back in a day.

Congrats to our guys that made it into that CA bid.

Kind of hard to read, but this is the captain payscale.
So figure upgrade in 3 years, that’s DOS+3 as well, thus the $222/hour rate.
On the 747 pilots are easily crediting 85 hours/month. Flying J was being conservative. If you average 85 hours a month you’re making $226k in flight pay alone. Plus per diem.

I hear ExpressJet management is upset at so many leaving. Let me call a wambulance. They and UAL management messed around too long. They may not appreciates our pilots, but someone else does.

Here’s a copy of the FO pay rate.
If you can deal with the 16 days this is a no brainer.
Get a 747 or 767 type. Even if you decide to move on the type and experience will do more for you than a -175 type.
Be treated well. Currently there are zero grievances outstanding.
No junior manning, drafting, extending. If crew scheduling calls you don’t have to accept an assignment.
If you live near a major airport such as SFO, JFK possibility of picking up a good real of open time. If you don’t, zero worry about commuting to work.

The $101 was DOS. Now DOS+2. So if a person hired today does not even upgrade to CA by year 3 they will be over $150/hour.

Hey Blackhawk, congratulations! Sounds like a good time getting to see the World, fly a Heavy and best of all- no commuting anxiety.

I highly recommend you take the interview. They are a fantastic company, and they actually want you there. No HR hoops to jump through, no logbooks... they just said “wow, you have a lot of PIC time, that’s what we’re looking for...” They’re not looking for Johnny Riddle who stood in some special interest line all day, not some one who thinks they have to volunteer at a no-kill shelter on every single day off.

They want pilots, not social justice warriors. Crazy, huh?

Now the “big announcement” at ExpressJet might not be until February??? Time to look at options.

Fixed it for you. Without an announcement before feb triggers the duration clause, and contract renegotiation hell. I don’t want to be here when that happens.

Regardless, I think it is not in Expressjet’s/SKW’s best interests for that to happen.

For those considering this option there is a FB page “Acey Pilots Moving to Kalitta”. Those currently going through the training or on the line let you know what to expect.
