I understand that the FA's Contract TA is absolutely horrible and an absolute abomination compared to their present contract. I hope this is not a sign of horrible things to come from the St. George Church Choir. Speaking of which what are we hearing about our Pilot Contract TA. Is it going to be worse than our present contract.

We will never hear anything about our negotiations, neither side ever talks about them. If you ever hear anything it would be something someone made up to stir the pot. There are some things I would like to know such as if they place the Crjs with United does the Asa contract go away, cause that is how I read the little they have put out. If so when are we going to combine MECs and are they negotiating two contracts or one.

I’ll take the first shot with the spoon...

I can tell you for near absolute certainty that there will be no flow-thru in the new pilot contract.

A real shame if the company wants to attract and retain folks. Flow through would have been the way to do it CPP in my opinion is watered down and weak at best. Especially since they offered it to CommutAir and Mesa

That should be good for movement at the TOP end of the list. I’ve flown with a fair amount of senior CA’s who got the FOAD from UAL and are just lingering for hopes of a flow. The mass exodus has been from the wrong end of the list or the middle, and it’s not going to help anybody if it continues that way. Having said all that, I understand that the BEST thing for movement would have been for a better pass rate to exist at the top of the list......but for whatever reason, it just seems like there hasn’t been.

Is the pass rate getting better after they got through the original flow-through pilots?

The rate sucked well past them.

And all of them have had round 2 by now.

Early 2005 hires had round 2 late last year/early this year.

There are still some senior round 2 holdouts.
Not many.....but there are a few.

Holding out for what? Failing it the second time was so much more fulfilling to me than merely failing it only one time, that I would recommend to all of my senior brethren that they hurry up and experience the joy again.

I read it. It is a major step backwards for them. The language is all ASA speak. They are being told things like "if you don't sign it you'll be fired", The best one I heard today was "We need to have one contract so United will take us seriously" NEWSFLASH! We have the most consistent on time and reliability of all of the carriers who fly for them, AND better than they themselves at mainline : and we are still being put in the dumpster.

If the FA’s don’t stand together in mass and push this contract across the table. The company would look stupid attempting to fire a high percentage of FA’s and still cover the flying. It’s high time we as a labor group start some informational picketing against INC and let them know that we are tired of being treated like bastard step children while they are feathering SKW’s nest

Any word on when this vote is supposed to take place? I hear for every no-show, that vote is considered a “yes”. That’s crazy!

Yes it started. They have to vote in person, on designated days. Good luck to them.

My guess is it passes. Too many ASA folks know they’ll be out of a job and it’s not easy to vote (paper ballots, etc). That’s a pretty ghetto system, but is anyone else amazed at the time frame that this was thrown together?

Maybe their contract is the final piece to the puzzle....
