    Rupture in one of the hydraulic lines. Got smoky quick.

    too bad half our pilots wouldnt have been able to handle this since theyve been trained to be a bunch of useless computer programmers and it probably would have led to a disaster

    I find we've done well with all the cockpit smoke events we've had (and other emergencies).

    Man talk about timing for that to happen, almost lined right up with the runway. Glad he already had the windows open!

    As it just so happens.......he was an XJT pilot until recently.

    I have to wonder which training event Hoffa bonked on that made him so bitter at the Training Center.

    I heard a rumor that it was him. Great guy and was a blast to fly with. Flew with him right when he came back.
