This is cash money, and not forcing a union on a non-unionized workforce. Apples and oranges.... like, annoying orange type oranges.

Asa was a non union house ?
I’ll have to go back and re read that, do you have a reference ?
The only thing annoying about my point is that it’s fact based.
The outcome will be the same regardless of the route taken.

No, OO dude. Opposite to a popular Atlanta based opinion, ASA did not actually buy us. I thought this is what you were alluding to. ALPA lawyers gave up our contractural merger protection because OO was not organized. Your comment appeared to be related to this and why we are not one-list already. The bonus, contractually protected should this contract be ratified, is not subject to the same vulnerability if we are sold off by OO.

    Ah, it’s all good.
Just a discussion, not possible to gain a particular perspective from just one board.
I watch the markets closely so between corporate announcements, board posts and stock market, I can gain perspective.
Most of the time, those sources paint a pretty good picture.
I expect an announcement of a CommutAir buyout after the vote closes.

I thought that CommutAir was 49% owned by United. What makes you think that they have any money to buy us.

United appears to be killing the Republic/Trans States deal. It doesn't make sense that they would want competing companies to merge.

If they do buy us, as long as they use the same metrics to merge the lists that they did between XJT and ASA (i.e. HEAVILY weighted on date of hire) I'm fine with it.

You just answered your own question !
Ucal has a minority stake in CommutAir so c.a. would be the purchaser and ucal would be the financier.
This is where the ucal buy out rumor got its legs.

Hey, badog....what are this week’s winning lottery numbers? I had no idea that we had a psychic genius in our midst!

As to your point......C5 merge would be a GOOD thing. A couple more pilots and all our airplanes back. And no INC with their boot on our throats at every turn.

    150+ aircraft
    Less than 4 year upgrade
    Average or above work contract

That’s XJT (or the entity formerly known as XJT) 40 months from today.

In other news, Skywest stock is down almost 15% in just the last few days.

Psychic is referenced to mankind, clairvoyant is the word you’re looking for as it pertains to time.

The lottery is a tax on the poor.

I watch the markets closely and am currently heavily leveraged in commodities.
Speaking of commodities, labor, aka you, is becoming relatively scarce.
Merging c.a. with express and parking some 50s’ will help ucal with their impending feed disruption but it won’t stem the tide.
    It just kicks the can.
Oil, (wti specifically) is consistently above $70, this does not bode well for 50 seat a/c and the market will begin to reflect.
Enjoy your return to section 6 since you are a variable expense.

Since people are making all these decisions, psychic actually works in this case. I didn’t really put much thought into what I posted, anyways. As far as going into Section 6, I’m not gonna get too worked up over something I can’t change. It either happens or it doesn’t.

Wow, I totally underestimated our pilot group. 87% participation.

Oh yeah, it's a big "YES" on this one. Congrats to all!

Honestly.....the 175 isn’t the announcement we should all be anticipating. I think it’s safe to assume they are coming. It’s the OTHER announcement that will make a difference around here.
