    It's a Colgan Q400 in CAL colors (flight 3407, a/c N200WQ).

    On CAL website, it says...

"Please Contact Continental Airlines at 1-800-523-3273 for the status of this flight."

    ATC tapes from BUF

    http://archive-server.liveatc.net/kbuf/KBUF-Feb-13-2009-0300Z.mp3

Try starting at 8:40...I'm still reviewing it

    15:22 - Colgan 3407 cleared for approach

    16:10 - colgan 3407 switched to Tower

    1703 - Approach looks for Colgan 3407

17:26 - approach looks for COlgan

17:51 - again 3407 is asked to respond

20:30 - State police assistance requested (A/c lost over the marker)

2400 - "All aircraft for this frequency, he did have a dash-8 over the marker that didn't make the airport" - Buffalo Approach

Looks like some planes in the area were picking up some ice when this happened. The guy on departure asked for higher.
