If it's getting used for school/kids, you can have mine. It's collecting dust.

It is. Need one for middle school and one for high school. It beats dragging a whole laptop around with a charger brick.

    What’s the “yellow screen” issue?

It's yellow hazing that starts around the edges and works its way in towards the middle. If you are asking, then you probably don't have it. I think it's an adhesion issue between the touch screen and the LCD. It makes it hard to see the image near the edges.

I’d be happy to give you mine, but about a week after I left, I got the blue screen of death (which is worse than any yellow haze you’re talking about)....and on top of that, my wife dropped it and cracked the screen. But if you wanna deal with the repairs (probably not worth it), it’s all yours.

I appreciate the offer. I did some digging and found that it’s about $120 to replace a cracked screen myself (regardless if the LCD is busted, cause you generally replace them together). I can’t put a dollar amount on blue screen, cause that could be something hardware related thats not worth fixing. If it was just the busted screen, it would have been worth the try.

Anyone else reading: I find to replace the LCD amd digitizer(?) (touch screen) is easy compared to doing the same on a galaxy phone/iPad because you replace the digitizer and LCD together. You don’t have to be as carefull with the touch screen leads nor have to adhease the touchscreen down. There’s some heatgun work, but it really looks do-able vs what you have to do with the other devices.

    Bump

Lots of folks leaving this month. IM me if interested. I would like to get at least one more. The one I hooked my daughter up with has been working awesome as a school computer. I’ve got 2 more in school though. Looks like one may get my EFB in Dec or Jan.

I think $120 is the price to replace the screen on the newer model. Ours is about $500.
