Default FMS Perf question

Here is a problem we had the other day with the FMS, any of you tech guru's have any idea. We entered the flight plan into the FMS, then we put all data into the Perf Init and, finally we confirmed the Init. (BTW, the capt was a senior Check Airmen)

Normally, after this it shows page with your fuel remaining at Dest and Alt but, it didn't on ours. Some other weird anomalies were:

1. We were unable to get to the Perf Data for landing weight. Normally, you push the Perf key and, then go to page 2. We only had one page and, none of the options were Perf Data. We ended up computed our landing weight the old fashion way.

2. The other weird situation was with the Prog page. It always shows the distance, time and, fuel remaining at the next point, then destination. Well ours wouldn't show the fuel remaining at the destination. On the ground before we took off it would show 0 lbs of fuel remaining at destination. We double checked everything and, couldn't figure the problem out. Eventually when we got into cruise it showed fuel remaining at the destination.

3. The whole flight it showed that we were latched. We assumed (yes, i know the saying) that there was some weird thing going on with the RNAV or something.

It was just weird, we couldn't figure it out. It is going to look around at the schoolhouse, I was just wondering if any of our "tech heads" had any answers.

It sounds like you were in GS/FF mode vs. Full Perf Mode.

You have to select "Full Perf" to get the info you were missing.

It's easy to do if I'm in front of the FMS.... but right now I can't remember the sequence to do that since I'm at home w/o my CFM... but it's in there towards the back in the FMS section.

I was thinking the same thing

you can change it in perf init page one...

where the full perf is there is an "or" on the right side to change it

Bob and Dirt thanks for the response. I pulled out the CFM and, that looks like that was the culprit. Now, I know what to do next time.
