hhhmmm... thanks, Bob.
Is Gary Porter's book the other decent choice? 'cause I saw an AvSoft guide, but didn't really impressed me. Any other Ideas?

Most folks on here will tell you the best resource of course is... the Vol. 1 & II and FOM.

That said... Gary Porter's book is actually decent and good for light reading or throwing in your flight case and brushing up on things. It can be overwhelming... but good info. nonetheless.

I especially liked the oral Q&A part of the book... but beware that there are a "few" items that are old and not updated and several more items that are cool to know... but we simply don't need to know.

So... again... best resource is Volumes I and II & FOM... then using the Porter book as a back-up and easy to carry resource for reviewing things a few weeks/months before Upgrade/Initial.

Hope that helps...

Bob

Absolutely! Specially Vol II, that won't fit in my case... and that's why I would like to have something easy to carry around when flying. Would be nice to carry less of the stuff I never use, and more of the stuff I need.
So, is cgporter@pdq.net a good way to get it? Any other way? Does he have a website?
Thanks.

No website... the e-mail address should work.
