EMB 145 Animated Study Guide
Hi Folks,
Here here is the study guide for the EMB 145 that many of you have seen me working on in the crew room.
Its an animated systems guide that allows you to manipulate the systems similiar to what the training department has. The site is developed with FLASH MX, so you need a flash viewer plugin. You can download this from the site if you do not currently have it installed on your computer.
There is an overhead panel that where you can click on all the switches and pushbuttons in order to learn your flows. There are also animated flash cards to learn your limitations. Don't waste time writing out your own, use that time to study.
The site is still under construction with new material being added every day. If there is an area that you have questions on email them to me by clicking on any of the links at the bottom of the pages.
Take care and have fun with your training.

That's good and all... BUT...
All one of Osama's boys need to do to learn systems on ANY EMB145 is log onto your website? Great...
It looks like you put a lot of work into your site, but putting it on a PUBLIC message board can be a little dangerous. Maybe on our "secure" site, but not in public, bro. I'm wondering how the legalities of the whole thing work out as well (i.e. pics of the overhead panel cool with the Brazilians?).
Heck, I'll be the first to admit that I think the site is cool and I'd probably use it to study for my next PC. Get this info into the wrong hands, though, and it looks like you've got a little bit of liability on your hands.
What to do, you may ask? I don't have an answer for you, but I think you need to think about this one a little bit more. We're in a different time and age, here, folks. I hate to be chicken little here but I lost my rose colored glasses about things after 9-11.

Jet Lincoln
Not to flame you, but what are we going to do, take everything off the internet? No more Cessna 172 info, no more Piper info? Yes, I do understand that these are airliners, but come on. We can't censor the entire world, just "in case" some wacko decides to hijack an airplane. There are 135/145's overseas as well, so who's to say they wouldn't go there to learn how to fly them? Maybe steve kessinger should take his study guide off the net. His is free and you don't have to log in! See what I'm getting at here?
FYI.......the over heads Rich set up were all drawn out by him, just like the other coex guy that did the over head poster (that EMB paid him for)
Just something to think about.....

Good points, airplay.
Instead of being a "master caution", I wanted to act more like an advisory messsage on the EICAS - in that nothing really needs to be done about it, but awareness needs to be brought forward. Heck, if the terrorists wanted to grab a hold of manuals they have ways of doing that, right? I think?
I guess I'm just trying to say just keep an eye out. Do we see B737, B757, and ScareBus systems in detail like we do on Richard's website? I haven't seen any... Let's keep the transport category aircraft low and out of sight of the public's radar. You brought up the point of systems for Cessnas and Pipers. Last I heard you didn't have to get a thorough background check just to train on them (reference DOJ referendum regarding extensive FBI background checks for all training in aircraft 12,500 # or more).
Just keep an eye out for malicious stuff that could happen. All I wanted to say is that this sort of stuff would be better off posted on the original crackpipe so your regular Taliban doesn't do an internet search on this stuff and find out about it...
Peace?
PS - like I said earlier, I'll be the first one to use this site to study for my PC... So I like it, just, well, you know...

Yea, I know what you are saying, just being the Devils Advocate I guess
2 sides to every story hehe.
I guess I'm always for more info on the web, since I make the majority of my income from my web sites

There are 737 systems guides on the net
Hey guys,
Thanks for the input on the 145 site. In reference to Jet lincoln's comment about not seeing any other larger transport study guides on the web, you are incorrect.
The following link will take you to a complete systems guide on the Boeing 737. http://www.b737.org.uk/
Type in this address and it will take you to a UK site that details the systems.
I understand what you are saying about security, but we can't screen everyone. If a bad guy wants the information bad enough they will get it.
The drawings of the overheads and other systems that you see have been drawn by me in FLASH MX. That's what makes them interactive. I have designed this site to help the good people. I can monitor where all the traffic is coming from and it will also tell me who is signing on to the member's section. The government is also monitoring all aviation related websites. I see that over 6% of my visitors come from government terminals.
Big brother is monitoring everything that is available for viewing. I'm sure that if they thought that this info might pose a threat they would contact me and ask me to participate in better securing this site.
Thanks again for taking a look at the site,
Hopefully it will help the pilots that will soon be flying the aircraft.
