I'm nervous.

I'm thinking about renting an apartment in Manhattan. Remarkably, during the economic downturn, renovated 1BR apartments are suddenly affordable for me ($2000-$2500 per month). I've always wanted to live there. I just can't convince myself to go up there and throw down a deposit. I pay $1500 for my 1BR currently in Arlington since the GF moved out (she got me up here, but she left the apartment to me).

Please tell me I am absolutely insane for considering a move to Manhattan.
