Does anyone have the Droid? I'm interested and I've heard very good things about it. Can you get on ccs and adopt with it? I've heard nothing but positive comments. I've been wanting an Iphone but I'm not leaving Verizon to go to AT&T. I've heard from a lot of guys that did they will come back as soon as Verizon gets a decent phone to compete.. Thanks for any info!

My bro has one and he loves it...and I do believe you can access CCS on it, as his wife (CAL F/A) got one to acccess her schedule and open time.

Only bad thing I've read so far is that at full blast, it'll only go about 8 hours between charges.

If you want it to make it through a 20 hour day make sure you turn off bluetooth, IM, syncing email, etc, that would force it to stay connected and drain power, when you're not using it.

I just played with one at a Verizon store. The browser is really nice. It took me about 2 seconds to get onto ccs, which worked very well. I didn't try adopt. I'm one of those guys who's been holding off on getting an iphone so I can stay with Verizon, and I'll probably be picking up a droid next week.

I have been a Verizon customer for years. I bought a droid (the motorola version) about a week ago and am really impressed. Looked at the Iphone but couldn't get past the limited ATT 3G data coverage and all the reports of dropped calls. First thing I did at the Verizon store with the droid was get on CCS which works well on it. Of all the Verizon phones, including the blackberry, this one was far and away the best and actually faster online with 3G than a lot of regular computers. Picture and video taking is really good quality for a phone. It has WiFi capability that works well. The phone is a little heavy but is really not that big a deal. I have had mine on for 2 days since charging it and have been using it to a moderate level (phone conversations, online several times, texting and the occasional game of solitaire during a sit) and it still has some battery juice left. There are a bunch of apps (free and for sale) to choose from and plenty of memory for tunes and apps. I flew with a guy that has the HTC version of the droid and he liked his, although the camera on the motorola seemed to work better for pics and video.

I highly recommend it. Hope this helps you.

Thanks guys! I think I'm going to buy one next week. Went and played with one at Verizon today. I'd still like to know if you can get on Adopt with it.

FYI If you get at bestbuy it is $100.00 cheaper than any where else.

Interested in it also. Verizon store down the road is selling it for 199.99 after 100.00 dollar rebate. Also giving me another $50 bucks toward it for finally upgrading my phone. Seems to work well. I was going to wait till after the holidays to see if the price goes down any and let other people give it a test run.
