I'm a 5th year FO and I'm at $38.87pr hr, raising back up to 40.00 in Dec. They make less than me, a E145 FO under concessions in a E190? Are you kidding me!?!?

Blinded by the BIG jet! I was just up there last week and I saw a bunch of our 135's up there as well.

For the sake of 'the full story', these rates were just an extension of their current rates for more years (which happens to include the 190), it's not their new negotiated rates.

Not that it matters. They'd probably fly the 190 for $10/hour.

Upay, do you know the the length of this new extension? I couldn't find it anywhere. For comparison, here are Jet Blues' 190 and Airways 190 FO rates:

Considering that their pay used to top out at $37, it is a big improvement for them. But a bad precedent is being set for sure. Which begs the question...what kind of improvements do you really think we will be able to make on our next contract? I'm not too optimistic anymore...

People wonder why we (XJT) get no new flying, this is exactly the reason. We can't necessarily blame management, its just that other carriers are able to pay the same wages and get and additional 20-40 seats of revenue.
