Argggh! Trip pass!!!

I just looked at my payroll advise for 2/15/05 and saw a $200 deduct for trip pass!!!

I haven't used a trip pass is 1.5 months! Is there a way to find out what trip pass they are talking about? I couldn't find anything in CCS. Any advise would be helpful.

Inside COAIR, go to EmployeeRes.

Click on "Employee Info."

Then click on "Pass Travel Info."

In the 2nd drop-down box, select the most recent month and click "Submit".

This will show you all the passes you used in that date range. Don't be surprised, because it usually takes at least 2 months (sometimes 3) for passes to actually be deducted from your check.

I've got the same thing for a flight my wife took. Almost $200 for a flight that we paid for with my credit card in employee res.

What does the CBN column mean?

CBN is "cabin"....where you sat.

F = First Class
Y = Coach

I don't know what all these charges are about, but remember the charges for trip pass travel will show up on your paychecks starting 45 days after travel is completed. Don't know if that helps or not.

how was it $200 for your wife... ???

it is like: $25 RT domestic, $60 mexico, canada, hawaii... $100 Europe. unless you are talking first class europe???

She was my fiance/companion when we took the trip. Apparently, we're taxed on the "value" of flights taken by companions (spouse, kids, parents, and self are exempt) - So I'd been paying 37% tax on the "value" of every flight she'd taken while she was my companion. At least thats what the pass travel people told me. I'm so glad I knew that at the time. it's more like a buddy pass than a companion. $200 was the value of the trip, so it was $80 in tax plus the normal RT fees.

They take the trip fees off of the taxes. so if it's 80 bucks for taxes and the trip fee is 10, you pay 80 bucks (10 in trip fees and 70 in taxes). Only place that has taxes that high is overseas... If you use the pass calculator, i've never had anything over 10 bucks in taxes.,
