If you think about it, ALPA is like a religious following. Think about this,
Church wants you to give them money money money. The more money of yours they have to spend, the better god will love you. They spend millions and millions of dollars to build huge elaborate churches and places of worship. Why?? If god listens to those who pray then why cant you pray out of a double wide trailer and a tin roof?? Why does it have to be a big huge place. If they truly wanna see good come to the world and all then give those millions they just spent on a house of worship and build homes for the less fortunate. Spread some of gods love to more than just a select few. But the first time you say, hey I have no money to donate or hey I dont necessarily believe in the way you tell me I should live my life then BAM, your out, kicked outta Gods house for having your own ideas and beliefs.
ALPA wants you to give them money money money. The more money of yours they have to spend, then they can better serve you. They spend loads and loads of money to better serve you but what do you see from it? A renogatiated contract that still doesnt pay you how the original contract says you will get paid for it. So proud to tell you they got it done but yet, it shoulda been done first time. But first time you say sorry cant afford to pay you today, BAM your outta the union, kicked out for not supporting the pocket books of others.
If you think about it, churches and ALPA are both like cults really. First each group expects its followers to live a certain way, act a certain way, and believe a certain way. Each group also thinks the others are wrong and they if they dont believe the same as them, they try to convert them. Whats wrong with believing what you want??? But no, everyone wants you to believe like them or they do there best to convert you.
Think about this. The Branch Davidians were a religious factor. But to others they were a bunch of crazy cult members. David told them how to live and they did it. Why was his following different from the mormons or the catholics or evan the johavawitness. They all try to convert people and think there way of life is the only way and they will go to heaven and all others will go to hell. Jonestown was a religious cult, but hey whos right them or the catholics?
My point is nothing really other than to put a bee in yalls azz's and stir people up. Watch, religious freaks and ALPA freaks alike will jump on this one.
GOOD DAY. [/b]

The conclusion is this...
There are some of us who believe that God is a figment of man's imagination, that religion is a method of controlling the masses and a futile attempt to come up with answers to the things for which we as yet have no answer.
And, somehow, there are people who have it backwards, and who can't imagine why a person wouldn't believe in God... (I for one don't understand these people, but if they truly believe in it, what can ya do? They can't be helped or made to see reason).
There is no resolving the debate, as said previously... there's no way anyone will really change what they believe from reading the pipe!

Here's a link to a blogger that gives a pretty well presented and rationalized list of "Christianity's sins against science". Whether you believe in religion or not, it is a pretty interesting read on this topic...
