people can't post a meaningful title on the thread so we don't have to open it to find out it is a boring sports/politics/religion/home decor/(insert whatever type of thread you're not interested here) thread that we instantly regretted having opened.

They were ranked 3rd because of where they finished last year and the number of returning starters which includes a Heisman candidate at tailback, who didn't play, a great offensive line, the best linebacker and one of the best corner backs on the defense, both of which had interceptions. If it makes you feel better they are now ranked 5th.

I will agree that they played terrible and I was there to witness it. Poor blocking and tackling for most of the game. This often happens playing other Ohio schools. They get up to play us and we play flat and down to their level. We did come back to score 21 unanswered points to win the game. Several other top ranked teams did not this week and we all know about top ranked teams last year. We'll see who shows up next week against USC.

Just curious Captkev, where did you go to school?

Fear not, if Ohio State or any other Big Ten (fat slow ten) team makes it to the BCS, history will repeat and they will get their a$$e$ handed to them by the SEC. Just about any SEC team will do. Teams from the midwest will never compete against teams from the south.

No rankings should change until the 4th week in the season unless a ranked team loses to a non ranked team. Also, the National champion from the previous season should be number 1 until they are knocked off. Rankings are bull crap.
