My religion says I have to wear a Hawaiian shirt, cargo shorts and flip-flops. In addition a hula girl must be affixed to the dash of my car or glareshield of an airplane at all times...baseball cap IS optional.

Uh, maybe because they weren't Jewish. There are people of other religions besides Judaism who live in Israel and work for El Al. Or maybe they aren't Orthodox. I'm Jewish and only wear a Yarmulke if I'm going to the Synagogue.

Or maybe because they're not all Conservative or Orthodox Jews.

Lightbulb

Figure I might as well jump into this conversation....

In my many trips to India I don't recall Sikh women wearing the turban. Being a highly class and religious-conscious society (sort of a blanket statement but its true) one manner by which Sikh males differentiate themselves is by wearing the turban. But the women.....I don't ever recall seeing a woman in a turban.

I'll have to ask the parents about this one.....something smells fishy....

read the whole original article on page one. She did not wear it to the interview, women do not wear them, but her husband encouraged her to do it. She says she did it to bring attention to this sort of issue, and to break ground for her brothers and sisters. This type of **** is really starting to piss me off. i miss the days when America had balls, and we did what we stood for. Now, we are a bunch of pussies who bend over backwards so we don't upset anyone. I for one, believe that we should stop tip toeing around everyone. Again, if you can't follow the rules and customs that we have here in America, go elsewhere.
