Default Letter to Branded Crew

I received this letter along with a box of chocolates from a passenger the other day. I was going to scan it in but since I type pretty fast here goes. There are no typo's in the letter if you see one it is from me. She gave a letter to each crew member along with the gift.

So to the doubters of Branded and those that simply don't get it well you can go #$#%#%#^% yourself . Branded was the best thing to happen to ExpressJet. Hopefully the service will carry over the charter and let it expand. She mentions pilots being tour guides. People like that stuff and I will continue to do it. Not sure if it was me on her flight on the 10th. I doubt it.

This letter is getting framed and will be in my office as a reminder of how great Branded was. I am also writing her a thank you note. It makes me incredibly sad and happy at the same time.

I hope this thread can grow to 20+ pages instead of the normal useless drivel on the pipe.

So if you have an experience to share put it here!

Good luck to everyone!

From a woman in CA.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you and the ExpressJet team for the extraordinary service I have received over the past almost year and a half. This company is the epitome of what an airline should be! It saddens me that today's economy is impacting the efforts of the smaller businesses. ExpressJet is a 'class act'!!!

This is my 12th flight (always from Ontario to Colorado Springs and return) - to see my daughter and young grandson. Your company has made this not only affordable for me to do often, but an easy quick trip without layovers! I will miss your company's services tremendously! Just a few things from this customer's standpoint that you may not have known....

- Not once (even in snow) was a plane delayed and more often than not, departed early and arrived early! One trip we arrived early into Colorado Springs and the plane at the gate had not yet departed. Rather than having us wait on the tarmac, permission was granted to deplane at the baggage level.

- On my most recent return from COS (August 10), one of the pilots offered his services as 'tour guide'! The ominus Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Lake Powell, etc especially on this incredible clear day, were wonderful.

- All of the staff has always gone beyond in providing exemplary customer service. How nice to call, have a live person answer the phone without a long list of automated directories, AND have that person speak clear "English" and know they are U.S. based!!!

-We heard through a passenger whose sister works for the company, that they had small-scale model airplanes. I wrote a commendation letter in January to the executives of your company about my experiences. I had mentioned that if they had one available to send to my 2-1/2 year old grandson he would love it! Every time he sees your airplane in the sky he says "Nana is on that plane!" A few weeks later, my daughter received via Federal Express not only the plane but a handwritten personal letter to my grandson that mentioned his 'nana'. We all know that Delta or United would never consider doing that! He carries that plane with him when he comes to the airport to pick me up.

- What airline, coming to a close of service in our area, would not only give advance notice and not leave passengers stranded (like others) but honor a free "JetSet" trip that was booked for late September and rebook for late August? AND still provide sandwich and snacks on flights (my August 7-10 trip)! Going out like a class champ til the end!!!

I will miss ExpressJet! You have provided and spoiled me with a great travel experience! Now, I'm once again at the mercy of the "big guys" who could care less about their customers, layovers and late planes.

Good luck to you and perhaps someday you'll be back!!!

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

SO THANK YOU TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO FLEW EXPRESSJET AND ENJOYED OUR SERVICE. Yes I am typing in CAPS!

Branded was a wonderful service. I was able to operate a few branded segments. It was exactly what you would do if you started your own airline. The employees and passengers were great. I do hate to see it end. And I hate to see so many good people out of work.

I flew a flt from oma to san last year...we were flying just south of the grand canyon and I asked ATC if we can fly over the canyon..and as always they said yes. I told the passengers that we would be over the canyon and doing turn both ways so they could see. I think I flew the length of the canyon (east to west) before heading towards the direction of san. When we made our turn towards PKE...over the sound of the plane and through the DC's...all I heard was clamping. EVERY SINGLE PERSON said that nobody has done that for them and that this was the best flt they have every been on. And we brought fun back into traveling. I have never seen those smiles on COEX. We all did a great job...I truely believe no other regional could pull off what we did day after day.

CAL could not stand to have their previously owned "regional," show them up any longer. What a loss for us and the PAX.

That was the culture that bread through the branded flying.....although I was LAX based, I did ride on branded....sad to see it go, as so many others are! At least there are tons of people out there that will have great memories of ExpressJet....And good job keeping your chin up till the end...you can hear it over the radio, still the great attitudes and happy voices as of this morning!.....sounds like you guys are flying around in hawaiian shirts and making $300,000/year

That is beautiful man. What a sad thing to see it all go away. Maybe someday there will be another opportunity.

That letter sums it all up. We did bring the fun back into flying. There wasn't one branded flight where I had angry passengers. They always were so cordial and thankful for the service and humor we provided in our short time with them. I will miss it. Hard to believe it is over. Sad thing is, we were treated like the red headed step child in this company, yet we are the ones who really put our name on the map. Great job to all my branded and DAL brethren. I wouldn't trade that rediculous commute for anything. The last year and several months have been a blast.

It's so sad to see this happen. It's been a long time since I felt that doing anything above and beyond would have the least bit of difference in the CAL world. I remember though, what it was like to go to work and strive to be and do the best you could. It made you feel needed and wanted anddoing a great job was satisfaction in it's own right. Hopefully charter will restore some of that. It's just a shame that no matter how hard you tried it would never have worked. Almost like we were set up to fail from day one.

Great job to all the crews out there, it was you that made it happen and made it work.

I'm mx based intys but spent 2 tours in Ont. 1st one getting the hanger set up and Maint running before they hired all the new guys. There was obli 10 or 12 of us the first 3 weeks. LOL. It was like the wild west. It was crazy trying to get everything done. The second time was just to help with staffing. Everyone in mx had pride in what we were doing. Starting something new. It was really exciteing. I just want to take my hat off to everyone. You all did something very special. Good luck to evryone. Take care
