Unhappy

This is exactly what makes pulling the branded airline down so freekin hard. I and others put so much into getting it off the ground. People really loved our style and service. It is truly disappointing to see such a good airline get squashed by a bad economy.

The next few years will be hard. I flew both worlds and I can say without a doubt that I liked the passengers on the branded side of things a lot better. I just wish someone who needed a million dollar business loss to offset his/her earnings would have bought us up and kept us going.

On one of my last branded flights I got a sincere thank you, a story of how our service impacted their lives in a positive way and a star bucks gift card from one of my passengers

All this will make the transition to the COEX pax much more difficult. Not to mention the up coming concession talks.

I think you should copy the letter and sent it to the top people in the company. It is good to hear how happy our customer have been. I believe it is worth trying to save our product.

Unfortunately, I think it's gone for good.

No doubt that its going to be hard going back to the COEX world and possibly dealing with co-workers that think we are the cause of the down turn in our company. I hope that the COEX peeps will be more understanding of what it meant to be branded pilot.

On a side note finish my last trip a few days ago with a REJECTED T/O at about 100kts in SBA... not going into details but we did the right thing and it was pretty uneventful, just tires smoking like crazy... but man that’s a shot of adrenaline I will never forget. (For those that done know SBA is a 5000ft runway)
Most of the pax were thankful for making the right choice and were happy to wait a couple of hours until we could get the plane fixed.

Anyways, back to IAH so I can "whore" myself out to CAL and take it in the *** like a pro hoe.

Awesome letter and I think really sums up the way ALL of us feel/felt regarding the branded op. Both customers and employees alike. Made it much easier going to work in the morning knowing the pax actually weren't dreading their experience at the airport. I'm proud to have been a part of it and, although no longer an XJT employee, I'm still sad to see it go. Keep your chin up gang, and keep doing to same good work going forward that you did for branded.

I certainly hope we don't have pilots at this company who think this way...

I didn't exactly hear him say that west coast pilots were part of the reason that the company is in the shape that it's in.. unless I missed something. He was just whining about not getting to fly in September.

I was incorrect in using him as an example. However, I'd be willing to bet that there is more than one short-sided individual here that things we're the demise of the company. Maybe that's just me...

Long Live the Branded Legacy!! I'm glad was able to be a part of Branded and DAL.

There was nothing better than flying your own passengers. You felt a sense of pride and am glad the company gave us the opportunity to prove our self worth as pilots.

Unfornuately, it's back to the CAL world.
