I do take responsibility for my own actions, but there are just certain instances where one can think "wow" how did that just happen.

the "wow" does not imply a super natural influence. Some things are just wow-able by nature. People don't give mother nature, coincidence and probability enough credit. We are alone on this planet, just the universe's way of knowing itself, and it is up to us to make it worth while before we become food for the next generation of life. No God, no creator, just physics, chemestry and lots and lots of time. All of the "wow" that we see in the world is from a very narrow and limited perspective from sentient beings that are generally smart enough to contemplate existence, but too freaking stupid to comprehend it. Personally, I rellish the fact that I am responsible for everything in my life and I don't have to thank god for sh!t, I do the best I can and will hopefully die an old and happy man. Drink lots of beer and stop praying for something you can't change, and if you can change it- do it yourself. My dog doesn't believe in god and he seems happy...........who am I to argue with that? and it's common knowledge that all dogs go to heaven!

So basically, we all just learned that Atheists can't debate things...

Where did the debate start? The thread is "there IS a God" not, "I think there is a god. I know I am wrong, but just for fun lets argue about it for 80-90 pages. again. so I have an excuse to preach my beliefs" And the religious don't debate- the preach and force and threaten. Logic is not in the tool belt for them/you. mostly.........

God made Mexico. Mexico invented burritos. Burritos taste good. Therefore, God exists.

I am sure you will scoff and mock me for what I am saying or trying to accomplish, but that is beside the point. The simple fact that the other thread was started, to me, means that you are looking for some sort of an answer. That there is something deep down inside of you that is missing. Something that is needing to be filled or answered. There are a lot of believers and non believers alike. The fact is, that since before any of us were concieved in the womb, even though He knew us, we have been deprived of Him. Seperated. Our natural instinct is to rebel against God. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Sin is a real thing. Our own wickedness is a real thing. I can only hope and pray that maybe, even though this is short, that atleast one person that reads this will consider what I am saying.
Why do you believe that?? WHY?? PLEASE if you're trying to convince those of us who don't believe and are pretty ****ing sure that we're right, then for goodness sakes give us some sort of EVIDENCE for why what you're saying is correct.

Oh, and leave the bible out of it when you're giving evidence.

You: God is real, Christ is lord. Believe in my religion or you'll go to hell".
Me: Where's the evidence for this being true.
You: It's in this book.
Me: Why should I believe something just because it's in a book?
You: Because it's the word of God.
Me: How do I know it's the word of God?
You: Because it says so right here in the book.

Do you not see the gaps in your logic? Or more accurately... do you not see that what you're saying HAS NO F***ING logic?

Any ******* idiot can write a bloody book.
If you want to convince anybody that you're right then give us concrete, scientifically based evidence of why you're correct. That's the only thing that's going to make any difference to us. We're too intelligent to be swayed by quotes from your book of stories.

I've always wondered what atheists tell their children when a loved one, or family pet passes away. Do you say "Junior, its alright cause Fido/Grandma is in a better place, they are now fertilizer for the backyard"
