Thumbs up

no, the union rep said skywest could not....I repeat....could not purchase out without a vote...is that clear as mud? So lets just clear this up once and for all since people seem to get this confused with their own ideas or opinions....but skywest absolutely cannot purchase us with their current stipulations of certain language being removed from our contract without a vote!

Partly untrue. They can buy us without a pilot vote if they follow our contract and scope provisions.

Would this hold true as well if XJT had to declare bankrupcy and a judge got involved? Did you happen to ask the union rep about that scenerio?

-I'm not formulating my own facts, I just don't know where it says in our contract that we (the pilots) must approve any purchase by an outside group.

-I agree that it appears that SKWY isn't interested in our company unless we relax our scope clause.

- I think it is inaccurate to say that they cannot buy us without a pilot vote regarding scope.

- It is accurate to say that they cannot buy us and ignore our CBA regarding scope.

I think the letter they sent made it pretty clear they were not interested in buying us without the CBA amended.

Not even worth asking...a bankruptcy is public knowledge, they couldn't hold that secret.

Talking

well exactly rob my point....you think....but I asked my union rep and he said they cannot purchase us without a pilot vote if they want to follow the proposal they gave us. If they wish to purchase and follow the guidelines of our contract they may do so. I asked my union rep so I wouldn't have to think about it anymore.....just go by the facts. Its a no brainer now.

Exactly....

.........If they both want it bad enough.....guys DAL/NWA said they would wait for the pilots then they did it anyways. They say they'll wait for BK if we dont cave...... but they've both got millions on the line if we don't also. The more momentum the more I think it is in our favor since it makes them less believable that they'll wait for BK after all that work.

If this is true, also expect OUR OWN management to give us the same "this is your only option" schpeel. Like I said, if they want it bad enough..........
