Default Check-In Warning!

This may have already been talked about, but I had an interesting experience last night.

I checked in yesterday for my trip today. I admit in retrospect that I must not have verfied the "Transaction Complete" message. At 2-ish in the am, I get the call telling me I haven't checked in. Well, I thought at the time I did.

Fast forward to today, I go to check in for tomorrow's trip. Sure 'nuff, no "transaction complete" afterwards.

I called scheduling and it turns out (according to the scheduler with whom I chatted) that if there's any sort of error listed on the bottom of the screen, we can't use CCS to check in.

What's the point? The "CHK" function is the only thing we're able to do on that update screen, yet it's disabled as soon as there's an error - which by the way is on there more months than not.

Prediction:

We abandon check-in as compensation for pay time reverting back to bag door.

I just checked in for my flight tomorrow. I had 2 error messages on the bottom. After I put in "chk" and "y", I got transaction complete as well as the other errors on the bottom, we'll see what happens

Why can't these EDS idiots set up a link for us to click on instead of the archaic master schedule screen?

Hello......EDS.......please wake up and smell the coffee! This isn't 1996!

Don't be so quick to throw stones. This is the way all of us Apple users feel about you Windows users. Hello, Windows is a pile of crap running on crappier hardware. Wake up and smell the expresso!

If the folks at apple are so darn smart, why the hell do they insist on keeping that freakin one button mouse. The clear acrylic looks cool and all, but I use the second button on my *normal* mouse all the time!

I spoke to scheduling last week, and they told me if they have time they will call you. He told me they only call if there not too busy. Which usually is in the middle of the night. If you have a late afternoon show, they probably will not call. He told me since I'm a "lineholder "they just assume we know we have to work. I checked in for the first time yesterday! It was my 5th trip of the month, I never checked in for the other 4 trips and I didn't receive one phone call from scheduling. And the only reason I checked in for the trip yesterday, was because I was on the phone with scheduling. Remember, if you don't check in up to eight hours prior to your trip the burden is on them!!!! They have to call you! I've been here almost 9 years, and never missed a trip. Why am I being penalized by having to check in. I feel there should be an amendment to this, only people with mistrips should have to check in. We can win this whole "check in game"!! Heres an idea.....If we all decide not to check in, they can't call all of us!! Eventually it will be eliminated.

Scheduling is supposed to call you if you don't check in. That Scheduler is incorrect in what he said to you. I will look into this further.
