What's wrong with plain ole "Continental". That's what I say to get the hotel discounts.

Yes, I'd say it depends on the context. When non-aviator types ask where I work and I say ExpressJet Airlines, I've literally been asked, "Now, are those the little propeller airplanes?" Now I just say Continental Express with the emphasis on Continental, and that's all they hear.

However, when making PA's, I'm sure to make the PAX aware that they are flying on ExpressJet Airlines. Well, unless it's a really crappy flight with lots of delays and they're all pissed - then it's COEX.

These things are important, you know.
