If you ask as many questions in the interview and/or ground school as you do here, they are going to make it very tough on you.

Yes you can commute from anywhere. You will upgrade for captain when your seniorty number comes up. You will get hired when you get an interview and know your stuff. There's no secret hand shake or good boys club.
Hey man,
I just asked a few simple questions about QOL at the company, commuting, etc.... Isn't what this board is for? I'd definately like to know as much as possible about a company that I am really interested in before I leave my current position......
As a flight instructor? Hmmm. . . a tough choice made more difficult by this revenue environment. Perhaps you should stick it out at Uncle Bobo's Air Taxi and Instruction Unlimited. Good to see you're thinking about your career. Don't let these short sighted assholes bother you.
Well, I'm in a little different situation. I'm currently flying 121 for another carrier that is not looking so good right now. So, in consequence I've been keeping my eyes open for other opportunity. And, I've found Xjt as a company I'd like to be part of.
Kinda clear things up?

SEFlyer is just being an jerk and Post 911 is our resident sarcastic comedian, if you get hired and see his posts inside the forum you will be rather amused.

As of the perm bid just out, upgrades went as deep as Feb. 2001. Training dates haven't been bid on for those who held it on this perm bid yet.

Went as deep as 1834 out of 2670 (and still hiring).

It's okay to break water, I think. Just don't break wind.

Here's the thing, about half of your first year will be spent on reserve and you don't get paid 150% for anything because they use you when they need you- that's the whole point of being on reserve. After you hold line you can pick up open time but on reserve you can't.

Thanks for the info. I went on the payroll as of the 2nd of May. The question I have is this; Will I get paid on the 16th for a prorated amount of 37.5 - 3.75? Or, will it take one full month to catch up on the pay cycle since I wasn't active on the 1st on the month?

I'd like to know the same thing. It's been a while since I've received a paycheck!

Call or email payroll for a correct answer... but the 16th check is 1/2 guarantee for that month if that helps. and guarantee isn't prorated at 3.75 hours per day....

So I passed my PC on July 8th. I was expecting to get a paycheck today seeing as the 16th is a Sunday, but did not. Perhaps direct deposit is not setup yet? Or was I just mistaken? Any input or contact info for payroll would be appreciated. Thanks.
