Default Do you have to pay to commute?

About to start applying to the airlines. Sounds like at Exp, American Eagle, and a few others you have to pay to commute to work. True?
Does that differ from leisure travel?

Thanks
Dennis

We do have a "commuter pass" which varies in cost depending on which zones you travel from (i.e. international or domestically). Jumpseating is free on XJT (or CAL for that matter). We take multiple jumpers so as long as there is a seat, you'll travel for free.

The only time a commuter pass would do you any good is when there is less seats than there are jump seat riders. Your boarding priority (SA3P) (p - as in Personal) would be higher than the jumpseater (SA4J) (j - as in Jumpseater) and would get you on board first.

Good luck with your interviews!
