Default Flight Time Grid for the interview

I have a question to all that have completed the Flight Time Grid.
The PIC time I understand, but the SIC I don't. How do I enter the time I was training for my MEL rating? I was not PIC, neither SIC? If anyone can help me with this, I would appreciate that.

If you have no SIC time then put nothing down. I was curious about the same thing when i interviewed. its good that you want to get it right. Dual is not SIC so thats it if you have sic then put it down otherwise dont.

good luck

Not trying to flame you or anything, but a visit to the FAR's might be in order for you to understand what SIC time is. Here's a hint...it's close to the beginning in Part 61. If you're asking this question, I can probably bet you an adult beverage that you don't have SIC time.

Good luck!

Well here is the deal. The flight grid wants the multi-engine time to be broken down by type of aircraft as follows:

Aircraft...........Day..........Night............I MC Actual
PIC...........PIC..............PIC...........
SIC..........SIC..............SIC...........
I was just confused because that leaves my PA-23 time and some BE-76 time out before I got my MEL. That was it. I am flying the BE-99 and I do have SIC time in that. I had to do an IFR SIC checkride in order to fly the aircraft. I was only trying to make sure, and get some help from you guys. I know that Express Jet is very prestige with the paper work.
But thank you V1+15, if I get the job I will buy you an adult beverage anyways.

Your multi PIC+SIC will not equal "grand total" for the aforementioned reason. That is totally fine, and if they ask, just explain. Doing MEL training in any light twin is neither SIC or PIC.

Yup...you're on the right track. I haven't seen the grid in about a year and a half, but doesn't it have boxes for TOTAL as well as the other categories you listed? If so, then stick the dual ME time in the TOTAL box and the difference between TOTAL and PIC+SIC would be the time spent getting the rating. I think HR will know that the difference is "dual received" while obtaining your ME. I just remember that when I walked into the interview, I wanted all my numbers on the grid to tick and tie back to the numbers in my logbook. Good luck on the interview, which is when, by the way??

Git 'er done!!!
