Does anyone know how many pilots are needed behind you in seniority to hold a line (any line: regular, relief, conversion) at each base? An approximation, which is close to fact?
I know CLE currently has 145 hard lines and about 20 relief lines.
I was hired on in March of this year and November is the first month I was able to hold a line of any kind.
During the summer months there is an increase in the number of lines for the increased travel during those months. I think during the summer there were about 160 hard lines in CLE.
On the November bid packet there were 193 pilots on the CLE FO seniority list.
Maybe somebody will help you out with the other two bases but as you know CLE is the most senior base. My buddies who were hired on at the same time I was and were based in IAH and EWR all were able to hold a line before I was in CLE.
Just curious, because I'm waiting to be base advanced, and when I do there will be about 50 people under me in seniority at the new base. Just wondering if that will be enough to get a relief line or conversion. Still trying to figure it out off the bid packs.
