RA Day Question! pls help

I am an FO lineholder and just realized via my master schedule that a 2 day trip was apparantly exchanged for 2 RA days.

The issue that I have is that instead of the Thursday-Friday trip I bid on and would have flown, they assigned me RA days on Fri and SATurday! Thereby adding another weekend day to my schedule _that I didn't bid on_ !!!

Is this legal? Or just a mistake? I now have a line with one less weekend day than I was awarded. Seems F'ed up, but I can't find anything in the contract to discuss this situation specifically. I don't think that my situation is the intent of 21.F.1 (a) or (e).

Any help???

I don't have a contract at my fingertips so excuse the lack of reference, but basically.......

Scheduling can adjust your first 6 days to fix legality/carry in/carry out conflicts. They also have to keep your line value within +/- 2 hours. They do this by putting trips or RA days on your schedule to get the line value there. They initially have to keep the changes to just the days currently worked, leaving your days off intact. If they can't they can then go one additional day (ie. into your first day off) and place a trip/RA day in there to restore the line value to the +/-2 level.

It's not exactly word for word of the contract but it's close enough. Look in section 21 under "Line Adjustments" or something to that effect. Either that, or wait until CLE145CA comes in here to quote it verbaitim! :lol:

Well seeing as CLE145CA has not reared his/her head yet I figured I'd dig out the ole book of knowledge (no, not the FAR/AIM) and quote a little contract for ya.

If I can direct your attention to Section 21, F.1. Pay special attention to 21.F.1.e. It's page 103 in the big book (and maybe in the little book, but that's at the airport).

I think I screwed myself by picking up a 1 day trip @ the end of the month. It apparantly caused a 30/7 issue which allows them to push my schedule around. That's a mistake I'll only let happen once....
