Default Please excuse my ignorance!

Sorry if this has been asked before. Are July and August 31 day bid periods? If they are then I got the shaft on my days off. I'm still on reserve and I only got 11 days off for both months. I can't get a hold of the chief pilots to clarify what I read in the contract. The help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

OK, here is the deal...

July's schedule goes from the 1st to the 30th.

August goes from July 31st to August 29th.

Both have 30 days and will result in 11 days off for reserves.

You are right that it has been asked before and will be forgiven considering you are probably new. However, take a look at the lines in the bid packets. They will give you an indication as to the dates for that bid month. The bid month in the packet will always start with the first day of the bid period and will end with the last day that is not "hatched out" on the calendar. That is the easiest way to tell what days the month runs. Hope that helps.

And before you say that the contract says the bid periods are....., the contract also allows the company to modify the bid periods by consultation with the union. The bid periods will go back to 31 days (even for November) shortly.
