Default uber fng question

I have an aug. 1 class date and was informed in the interview to show up july 31 and be in the hotel lobby the next morning at 715.

My question is, I haven't received any emails, snail mails, phone calls or smoke signals, to support any of this. Should i receive something more or just show up?

Hmmm, that sounds odd. Have you recieved the "pre-class" syllabus/ study guide/profiles/memory items/hernia facilitating book? I would certainly give someone in HR a call since you also have to get your pass travel set up to Houston. Yeah, if you're supposed to be there in 4 days, get on the horn.

Good luck and welcome aboard!

Im in the Aug 1 class too. During the paperwork, Angela came through and gave us (my interview date anyways) a piece of paper with "Training Instructions"... with your flight time, and record locator. I assume you got it too, cos you got the info saying be in the lobby, etc.

They did split up the class, Aug1 and Aug8... if you were not called a few days after your interview, you are in the aug 1 interview. I emailed angela and she confirmed that I am. Just to make sure yourself, you can always email her or call her.

PS

if you did get a record locator number on the paper...

go to continental.com and put the Record Locator where it says Find Reservation with Confirmation Number, with your last name... and you can see your flight. It still is positive space, but I had a seat and everything. I guess its a positive space to first class? :P

Positive space does not mean 1st class. You are added to 1st class stand-by but don't expect it because CAL automatically upgrades people when there are open seats in 1st class. Positive space depends on class, a ps5 means you are guaranteed a seat on the last flight of the day a ps0 means you are guaranteed a seat regardless of how oversold the flight is! This is opposed to a SA which means space available or how you travel with your benefits. I believe going to or coming from a training event you are a ps5. It will say when you print your boarding pass.
Good luck in training.
