Class Time
<crackpipe hit>
Just to get a feel for the training environment. This was asked at the interview of me, but I dont know exactly: What do you think class will be like? or something like that. I told them I would expect a 6-8 hour day with homework, etc. Am I right, or will it be shorter or longer? Kinda want to know so when I go home that first weekend, I know what kind of time frame I will have so I can help move the rest out / cancel the lease at my apartment. Thanks! I hope this board isnt too addictive!! *twitch*

The 1st week with indoc is fairly easy, you can go home after that week. Once you get into systms, things get more fun! During that time you are studying systems, preparing for FTD's, learning flows, and memory items, and the oral exam. Plan on spending at least 3 hours after class studying. You'll get through, though, just keep a positive attitude and work with your classmates.

yeah, still studying the flows now... tho im sure some to most of it will be lost during the start of training and actually using them. but they will be in the brain somewhere!
thats what ive heard... the positive attitude. i think the goal should be enough to keep most, if not all, the people motivated and excited.
and yeah, 3hrs after 9hours of class... i bet that poolside drink seems tempting!

Ok so yes there were a few days where the boose flowed freely, I think one of them was the day we passed our orals, and oh ya the day we passed the p.c. I just wondered if that bud cooler is still floating around the holiday inn??

Actually if you knew "thecashmoney" or the professor as we called him in class, he is a genius! He learned everything in class and soaked it up like a sponge, I'm pretty sure he got the highest on all the tests in our class. I would actually say the he proably knows as much if not more about the plane as most captains do.
