Hey all, I was hired on Jan 30th and have not heard anything at all since then. Just curious do they send an email or anything verifying that you actually do have a job? Just a little concerned. I know they don't have a class date yet, but is there anyway just to verify your paper work didn't fall through the cracks or something? I don't want to bug Angela with emails, so what do you all think or suggest?

Tarter - I interviewed in December and am also awaiting a class date. There are also guys here that interviewed in November and are waiting for class. As far as I know none of us were told anything other than what Angela told you the day of your interview. I think those that heard the congrats from Angela were told to expect a class in April. However, most of us are now under the impression that class won't be until this summer (June/July ish). None of us have official heard anything yet. Some of us are hoping to hear something this month.

Yes I realize I'm not an employee yet. Just asking if they send you an email or anything after the background check and all the paper work stuff just to confirm that you are in the hiring pool and you will be contacted for ground school. Just curious.

Yea me too....been swimming around in this pool since December 13th. I feel your frustrations. It seems that nobody can really tell when classes are set to begin again. Only guesses.

When I was offered the position with ExpressJet, Angela did say that classes could be starting as early as February and as late as April. It's now March and I still haven't heard anything more than the Jan. 25th email that went out to everyone in the pool. I guess that's the airline bizz.

Anyone else hear anything?

Technically, you're not an employee until you pass the SIC type/FOPC at the end of ground training and before IOE.

I don't know if you can still draw unemployment during that time. . .

Now it's the "tail end of summer"??? Tomorrow it'll be nothing until September or why not make it November so we can have been in the pool for a full year. What is going on???

From what I see on staffing I hope you all took swim lessons and can tread water for long periods. If you took the drug test the results are good for 30 days I am told so be prepared to do it again in the fall.
