Yea I've heard the same. It's rather frustrating to be in the pool with no real communication from the company. I understand that we're the bottom priority at the moment....but a little heads up wouldn't hurt anyone's feelings. It's hard to swim around and to try to plan on a future date for school (mainly finances). It's a frustrating experience but I feel extremely fortunate to be here. It is after all...one of the best companies out there.

For the guys in the pool, I can't even imagine what it must be like to be offered a training date and then having it moved back. However, that is the airline business, it runs in cycles. We might not be experiencing the same level of growth as in the past 2-3 years, but it will come around again. For those of you in the pool, this company would be well worth your wait, trust me on that! BTW, you are not an employee until you pass your FOPC and have your badge in your hands.

Tarter Give Angela a call and just say hey with all the rumors what's the truth, she is cool and I don't think she will mind at all. Good luck, hope it works out.

Hey Pool,

I wouldn't say that you are the "bottom priority" right now. Put your self in Angela's spot, the powers at be can't give you an exact date, so rather than make something up and then have to change it again, I think it best not to post a specific date. Angela and her group are some of the nicest people you will ever run across in this industry. As soon as they have some information I am sure they will pass it along to you. If you can hold out, this company is the greatest place that I have ever worked, it will be well worth the wait once you get a class date. Take Care, good luck!

Thanks for all the posts everyone. Yeah I have no problem with waiting for a class date. I can do that, I just want to make sure that they will still honor our job offer, even if it takes until next year for a class.

Great Attitude! I know it is hard, but I can assure you it will be well worth your wait.

Thanks Dunn - I understand your point of view. Thanks for your positive insight. I realize that exact dates can't be announced just yet and HR is probably as stressed out as the rest of us in the pool. But it would be nice to have some sort of an idea was all that I was trying to say. Even if it hurts to hear. Trust me, there are a lot of us out here that are willing to tuff it out and wait because we know that ExpressJet is the place to be. We just want to better prepare for a potential long wait.

Hate to be negative again, but Tarter we are not going to hire this year, we will be lucky to avoid chapter 11 at this point, our fuel cost have gone up 33% in the last two months so 1 qtr should also show stunning losses and I am hoping to have a job in 24 months! At this point I would look elsewhere unless you have a few years to kill.
