I think it is smart to get on somewhere now while some regionals are still hiring. I hear air wisconsin is a decent operation with a fairly decent contract. I don't even see HR people down here in the training center anymore so I wouldn't look for any e-mails. Word is hiring is done for the year and upgrades "may" happen by end of summer/end of year. Good luck else where.

D3mn GG, you should put in for a ground instructor position! You gossip even more than them!

Ya, I've been down here at the training center for three weeks, where you think I am picking all this stuff up!

By the way we are at 2880 pilots now, lost 300 since we stopped hiring and looks like they want to lose about another 200-300 through attrition, straight from the man! Been steady at 40 a month, but looks like that will now slow a bit? 10 pilots per plane is the goal, maybe less on branded if they are not flying that much. No furloughs are going to happen!

I know the hiring topic "horse" is being beaten over and over again. Is it correct that you can not even apply to expressjet at this time. Ive been on the website and dont see the pilot position on there. I took a job with Eagle last year because right as I was applying XJT slowed its hiring. I still very much want to work at expressjet, and in case you dont know morale in Dallas isnt to hot right now. Im just trying to figure out the best thing to do. I told myself I would evaluate everything at the end of this year, however if I were able to apply to expressjet sooner, i would. Any advice would be appreciated.

We're not hiring. Probably wont be hiring for the next several years. No need to accept apps.
