You all make it sound like this delay beyond April is official, it's still just a rumor at this point (correct me if I'm wrong).

Where are you getting this info from??

Do you work here? If so, go to the training center and chat up the training center management guys...not the f-ing instructors, they are those girls in high school that love to gossip. Some will give you the real deal, some will be wishy washy, especially if they don't know you...but its not going to be what the poolies want to hear.

yes, 2 classes of 16 or so...someone did the math and I think they came up with 31 upgrades....that's a drop in the bucket if we lost 20 or so in JAN alone!

Is it common for XJT to have pilots in a pool for undisclosed class dates? What is the benefit of continuing to hire pilots if they are already overstaffed on the line?

From an outsider's standpoint, it seems as though that XJT rolled the dice on a lot of things in 2007 (Captain attrition rate, industry health and growth, US economy, price of oil, and even hiring numbers) and lost on several if not all of those bets. The result of that loss is lots of FO's, little upgrade classes, and us swimming in an ocean size swimming pool. Again, I am not an employee of XJT so that is just my take on it...

Another topic: I have a question for everyone here...has anyone e-mailed Angela recently, and if so have they gotten a response from her aside from the e-mail that everyone received about a month ago?
