I totally agree that my above post wasn't exactly the most positive. My message was basically that it might be in one's interest to entertain the possibility of looking elsewhere due to the fact that February classes have turned into April, which have turned into late summer/fall. XJT is a great airline, I know that because I interviewed here myself and am in the pool, so I'm completely aware of XJT's standing within the regional arena, all I'm pointing out is that for those in the pool, b/c of our timing, it might be better to look somewhere else, instead of waiting another 6-9 months for a class date. XJT will make it through this storm, it's just a matter of how long the storm will last. Staying in the pool will ensure a spot in the next class dates...but you might be missing a great opportunity elsewhere? Sorry to have been negative.

Ya gotta do what is best for you.
Just think, if you go work elsewhere and XJT furloughs, you’ll be senior to former XJT F/Os that are now working at your airline. Or, if there is a merger, you might end up junior to some anyways.
Ya takes yer chances and enjoy whatever ya gits.

I'm sorry to be negative, or a downer, but those are the facts that we poolies face...I know XJT is a great company, but our timing was just simply too late. I hope that things turn around and we get our class dates, but don't be hesitant to at least look at other options as it seems many in the pool have.

Glad you are such an optimist about a company you don't even work for. Whether you believe or don't believe that branded will survive I wouldn't go spouting off about out impending doom. If I was in HR I would recind your offer. Sounds harsh yes but in public, which is what this forum is, I would bite my tongue.
For those in the pool. Go interview elsewhere. You need to get hired somewhere, get hours, and then if you need to move on go do it. Just don't fly for sh!tholes like Mesa, Gulfstream, or GoJets. Colgan would be last on my list. Go fly at Lakes and learn to be a better pilot than me! We are going through tough times. The industry sucks. It always has and always will. I am willing to accept this because I love my job. On a daily basis I will be positive. I have worked in other industries. While many things suck, inluding the POS hotel I am in right now, it is far more fun than things I have done in the past.
Rant over.....

Don't apologize. You need to do what's best for you and your family (if you have one). XJT was one of my top 2 choices and am still in the pool with XJT, but just finished IOE with another carrier. I'm happy where I'm at, the future looks good and I've got a job. I'm still in the pool mainly because I'm curious as to when/if they offer class dates to the swimmers. Good luck to all who are still in..whether you wait it out or not.

Yeah, I agree with you...I know several people who have jumped and who are now done with IOE at other airlines. I'm still in the pool as well, but have put XJT on the back burner for other opportunities. Like everyone has said, it's what works best for you...Congrats on passing IOE.
