Believe me the life of an intern ain't easy, especially living out of a hotel room in a city where you know absoluely no one. Make the best of it, that's all you can do. After that, I busted *** to get to 100 multi so I could interview. Could have gone to a bottom feeder regional with practically no multi time but I figured I'd hold out for XJT. Between maintenance issues, wx, and scheduling nightmares it took me 3 months to knock that out, studying for the interview the whole time.

As much as I really do want to be here, I don't think I can wait till June, basically if this job falls through that amounts to 7 months of work for nothing since I'd probably end up at a bottom feeder anyway. Yea I know, welcome to the airline world...

I'm not tryin' to complain. I realize most of the other poolies have probably had similar stuff to go through to get here, some probably worse. If this rumor is true I just wish they'd tell us so we can move on.
It's a tough decision to be sure. If I had missed the last class I don't know what I would have done. I did not enjoy being a CFI, but there was no other company I wanted to work for. Good luck man, and if you do hold out I'm sure Angela will do what she can for you when classes start up again.

Well I thought about it, figured that if HR didn't want the word to get out for whatever reason then they might be a little hesitant to tell me. It's woth a shot though, nothing to lose.

Thanks man, I sure hope so. Today I started looking for other airlines who are hiring just in case... There's really no one else I could get excited about working for though at this point.

You could do what a friend did. He was in the sims at another airline and quit to take the XJT class date. He'll probably not be eligible for re-hire at that other place, but then, why would anyone want to stay at a bottom feeder if they don't have to?

Thanks Maria, that's actually a really good idea that I hadn't even thought of. Hedge the bet basically... That's probably what I'll end up doing.

Did any of you that said you were going to email Angela ever hear anything back? With the last email to us saying expect April, and with April right around the corner now, I think we would have to at least get another update email soon.

I don't think classes are coming our way anytime soon. If you've not heard already, COLA's are being offered. The question I have is this...how long can you stay in the pool without having to reinterview and all of that? I don't have any knowledge of how this stuff works and I've asked it a couple times in various other threads and I haven't gotten an answer.

Edit: Looks like my question was answered here
