I was recently told by a friend of mine that works for a 135 job that they need pilots, and he can possibly get me a job there later this summer and I may have a good chance. Which would be nice cause I can build multi time which I so desparetly need considering my job now I am getting good time, but its all single engine, but this place I would be required to work for a year under contractual agreement. I applied to XJT a few months ago having just 460 hours knowing well I won't get hired with that time but I figured at least get my resume in the file since I always wanted to work for XJT. But what if I am in this company for only several months and XJT calls for a possible interview, and things work out OK and they offer the me the job, I would jump at it without thinking twice, but at the same time I would be binded to the year contract at the 135 place, I assume I might lose some money if I break that contract. Would XJT be able to hold off an interview until I do my year? Or would I have to re-apply all over again sometime when my contract is up?
I know this is all still to early to worry about since I am not even working at the preliminary job I am mentioning, but I like to plan ahead and not think about what may sound great now may eventually hold me in a clutch later down the road, cause ultimatly I really would want to move into a regional especially XJT.
Thanks for your time and patience
