You can find out how many you have by going by your CPO and asking. Unfortunately, we can't look at them.

The union protects you after 12 months, so who cares if you're on "company probation"? ?

Yeah, just lean in to the Chief Pilot's office and ask for them to tell you how many reports you have.

really? first off the union protects everyone...bust an FAR, get to meet your CP for the wrong reason...you can have a union rep, and they can help a lot...several friends have used them in the CP office for various reasons.

as far as probation...you are on it or you're not...it does last 12 months for most pilots but per section 2 it can be extended...

please use caution if you think your just on "company probation", I see no references to "probation pilots after 12 months" like I said, you're on it or you're not.

I don't know how it is now, but when I was new I had a heck of a problem getting CAs to remember to submit the reports and was short a couple when my 12 months was up. Now that I am in the left seat it's really hard to remember to file a report when you get home tired after a 4-day, so I can see it from both sides. You have to be proactive-polite reminders in v-files work, as does asking the CA to file it towards the end of a trip you are both on if you have some sit time. That's what I've been doing lately.

It is hard to know if I am being overly annoying in asking the CA to write me a report. But like you said we as FO's need them. I can also see it from the CA point of view. What are some good tactics in reminding the CA to submit them? And not being too aggressive.

What seemed to work for me is ask them to write one before the pairing is finished. I always asked if they had time to put one in my -V- file. Usually at the end of the month, I would put a note into the -V- files of the captains I didn't have copies from. They would always respond with a copy or write a note on there telling me that they submitted it before they could print it. I went into my exit interview with my folder in hand I had copies of most all of them. You can always stop in the CP's office and they can pull it up easily and check to see how many you have. Stay on top if it, don't want your probation to get extended for something stupid like not having enough reports.

Here's what I did, you fly approx. 5 4-day pairings in a month. Ask all the people you fly with, and 1 out of 5 will remember. Also, ask if they can put a copy in your v-file when they submit it.
