Rather B. Flyin, been reading all these messages and with everyone giving you advice, you somehow turn it around on them? Whoever you really are, you're pretty pathetic.

Ok all this other BS aside (and since other potential applicants might be curious) My entire class got IAH right out of the gate even those that requested LAX or ONT. (I was hired in the summer) But other classes got CLE or EWR and vice versa. As to how you get your time, Who cares! lol As long as you get your time. I flew skydivers and instructed to get the time, but if I didnt have to instruct I wouldnt have. I dont know what they wanted 3 years ago but now they want to see you have some sort of job with flying experience with a good letter of rec from the boss, it DOES NOT have to be instructing. I have friends that flew aerial photography to get their hours and were hired by XJT. One friend didnt have any flying job before xjt and got hired, but he was a former xjt intern. Which speaking of, Interns and those completing an ATP jet course do get lower mins I believe 500/100.

I probably could have gotten all my hours flying skydivers and as long as I had a good letter of rec from my boss, I probably would have gotten hired and I bought all my multi time. Its all how you present yourself in the interview. So there you have it.

Also I know this sounds like a broken record but if you WANT to get your CFI/II go for it, even if you dont instruct. Its good resume fodder and you can teach your kids how to fly one day lol
