Default are the rumors true?

A week ago i finally reached the point at which to send in my resume. so the first thing i did was send it to Express jet and even had my friend walk it in. Now i do relize that it has only been a week but rumors are flying right now that Express isn't hiring for the rest of the year, is it true??? The only company i want to work for is Express right now but i also don't want to keep flight instructing until Jan. or Feb. Any suggestions?? Please help!!!

Hiring is slowing down going into the end of the year and the holiday season.

At this time... we are projected to only hire for attrition through the end of the year which may equate to a @ 40+/- a month. Roughly half of the pace we've been on for a few years now.

Projections for next year (2008) are around 800 new hires or @ 60+/month... also for attrition unless any new contracts and airframes come into the picture.

My suggestion - enjoy life and cut back on the instruction until you get on here. Instruction only sucks because you make it. Take your weekends off and don't be a push over. If they say no go elsewhere. Truth is places are struggling to get good instructors so it's time for you to use that leverage. If you don't, than instruction will always suck. Worked for me. actually miss the time off I had with it towards the end
