Default Baggage fees for Positive space (or pass) folks?

I am packing to head down to the ol' Helliday for 40 days and 40 nights (give or take ) of FO training, and I've got a heavy bag...

Will CO charge the rip-off fees for a heavy bag to a PS0'ed Non-rev like me? I can split my stuff into two bags weighing well less than 50lbs if I have to, but that would be an added headache.

Thanks!

I was in the exact same situation as you, and yes, CAL will charge you for overweight bags (if you haven't realized yet, CAL sucks ***), so take 2 bags...

Don't take so much crap to training like I did. Keep in mind you are going to acquire a flight case, uniform and a bunch of books, binders, papers and charts while in training. The flight case is especially heavy when full. Leave room to bring that stuff home with you. Also keep in mind that you may need to travel to PHX, DFW, HOU or ORL for sims.

I was able to avoid the $25 fee, but on one occassion I had to even out my load because the agent was not going to let me away with it. Someone in my class was charged once that I know of.

Nice to hear you guys have such a great attitude, and you're not even on the line yet. If you need the stuff that bad just UPS it to the Holiday Inn, but you'll be dragging it around for a while. If you leave IAH for sims there is nowhere to store your stuff.
