Default Secondary Line Improvement Window

I'm finally getting my relief lines but I'm having trouble understanding this SLIW. I've read the contract and I was under the impression that during this SLIW we can trip trade outside of that 24 hour window. I see all sorts of lines that I would rather have being advertised but I keep getting the error of outside T/T window??? What am I doing wrong. Thanks for all the help in advance...

Read the entire question, read the entire answer applies here:

Um, just a guess but how about You are outside the trip trade window?
Try your picks again in 6 days and your results may be different, though being successful requires a little more skill. You can determine this by looking at the calendar provided in the bid packet.

Good luck....

Secondary Line Improvement Window. You can't trade your line, you can only Improve it by trading the trips that you have for other trips that look better to you. This can only be done during the 24 hour "window" (usually 2100 CST to 2100 CST the next day) as stated in the Phase 2 Bid packet. Outside T/T window means you are trying to trip trade on a day that is not the one preassigned. Hope this helps.

PS Get a hold of that new hire mentor manual..I've been here two years and found some real helpful stuff in it.

New to the SLIW too and couldn't quite find the answer in the mentor manual. When we improve our lines during the window, do we have to trade our pairing with Open pairings only or can we also do it with Advertised pairings? I'm thinking open ones only, but not sure.

just open time unless coverage allows you to drop your trip and then pick up the advertised one

The initial line improvement window is open for 24 hours. The SLIW is open until the end of the bid period.

Ok, last question here I think. Do we have to trade pairings separately?

I would like to trade two of my 4-days with different 4-days in open time. The days match up perfectly, one 4-day is at the beginning of the month and the other is at the end. When I do the Trip Trade thing in CCS, do I have to do that separately for each pairing or can I put both 4-days I want to get rid of in the little selector boxes on the left and the 4-days I want to trade to in the boxes on the right, click Trade, and hope all goes well, or do I have to do a separate transaction to trade each 4-day.

Thanks for y'alls help!

You can try to trade both 4-days at once, but if one of them isn't accepted, you get denied on both of them.

Yeah, maybe next time I'll pay closer attention to the calendar! Anyway, even after the SLIW opens, I am unable to trade trips for advertised trips. Again, smart *** comments aside, thanks in advance for all the help...
