Default Base getting assigned out of training...

Anybody know where people are getting assigned for base after training? I heard through the rumor mill that SDF may become a base soon?? Anybody else hear this?

Haven't heard anything about SDF, but most people coming out of training are getting based where they want right now, unless you are the one of the youngest guys in the class. The two youngest guys in my class got CLE and it wasn't by choice.

Now that's out of left field. I've heard JAX and RDU tossed around, SDF would be an interesting choice. Fuel for the rumor mill!

How bad would it be to get assigned CLE right out of training? I can imagine someone would be on Reserve for a while. I have an interview on March 1st so getting anxious. I live close to Chicago so might not be too bad commuting out of Chicago to IAH or EWR.

Next two months of new hires will be asked to carefully list their preferences... then will be sent to ONT.
