Default AirTran

I have been here for eight month's now. I'm enjoying the flying and the better schedules (more time off, better productivity ect)
I would be happy to help with information on the airline and the interview process.
Nigel.

I've been at AirTran for a grand total of four weeks now and so far I am really enjoying it. Mostly because I don't have to commute anymore.

I am also willing to help anyone who wants to come here.

I guess I should chime in here, too... I've been saying "Citrus" on the radio since January. I'll agree with Nigel, better productivity (= shorter overnights, sometimes), quick upgrade (under 4 years), new-hires are likely to get the 737 with LAX and SFO overnights, rumors of an MCO 'virtual' base. and captain pay once you get there is sweeet.

Downsides: We've been negotiating a contract for 2+ years, and the union-management relationship is the complete opposite of the Semak-Schwartz team. Employee morale company-wide is not great.

Still, I'm happy to help anyone out too!

How was training at Airtran? Was it a good program? How many people did not make it threw? I will have enough PIC soon and I am exploring my options. Thanks for any help or advice you guys can give.
