Default Daddy Redux!

So...

I'm on Day 2 of a 4-day trip. My wife calls me up and says she feels a little "wierd". Braxton Hicks contractions were ramping up, and she really felt that this was all leading to the big day... 5 days early, and thought she was on her way to the hospital.

I call the chief pilot's office as I'm about to takeoff from DAY to EWR. No one answers so I leave a detailed message. I land in EWR, check my messages, and Shannon in IAH has changed/dropped my schedule and set me up with a Positive Space home to DFW within 1 hour of arriving in EWR.

I get home late and she's not on the way to the hospital... just sitting at home with her feet up still feeling "weird", but very glad I was home.

We go to bed and at 4:30am... she turns to me and says... "Bob... my water just broke."

Off to the hospital! Needless to say... our second birth was much easier than the first. Once fully dialated she only had to push through 4 contractions and out popped my new baby girl!

Details:

Rangeley Ann Moyer
Born: September 13, 2006; 2:02pm
Weight: 7lbs 5oz
Length: 20 1/4"
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Wingspan: TBD...

Baby and Mommy are doing wonderful! Kudo's to my wife for feeling "wierd" enough to cause me drop my trip and get my keister home... and major kudos Shannon in the Chief Pilot's Office for helping make it happen so seemlessly!

Bob

Thanks Happy! It's pronounced "Range - Lee"... Not "Rang - Lee" like some of the nurses have tried to say it!

Anyone know how to send flowers to Shannon in the Chief Pilots Office? She even called my wife while I was in the air and asked if there was anything they could do for her, in addition, she also gave my wife a phone number to contact me in the air if she needed too! Man.. there are just some things I really do like about this company!

Congrats!

Not sure what number she gave your wife but feel free to leave her SOCC's number and we could easily find time and reason to SELCAL y'all if need be. That goes for anyone who wants immediate family to have "absolute" contact info. Of course make them understand it's not to be used for dry cleaning reminders, it's not 100% guaranteed, we're discouraged from using SELCAL below FL100, and it is an airline system control number, so only use it when needed. But hey, all things considered it's better than nothing and definitley worth knowing.

Bob, I think we went through initial BI and CRM together. It was a big class but there were only 2 dispatchers...Jon and me Maybe you remember, maybe not. Regardless, congrats and best wishes to all of you! Oh, and take LOTS of pictures in the first year--when Kiddie Kandids photography studio opens on 1960 near 45 (IAH obviously) in January see my wife, the manager, for a free 8x10 and check out their packages! They're better than all the other studios There are some in the DFW area too. Have fun!
