Webkinz?
Have any of you with kids gotten Webkinz for them?
They're the plush animals you can buy at airport gift shops (among other places).
Once purchased, there's a code which gives them access to Webkinz World where they can play games and set up their own, virtual home for their Webkinz pet.
I sign on from my over-nights occasionally with one of my kid's passwords and they sign on with the other and we can actually play games with one another while I'm on the road!
If you have not seen them, check them out. The games are actually a bit challenging and quite addictive. There's really no "shooting" in them. Many of the games are child-versions of game styles we're familiar with, but say instead of shooting at a bad guy, your character is throwing a pie at a cute target who giggles when hit, for example.
They have to manage their virtual Webkinz money (which they earn playing the games) and can buy items for their pet's virtual home (and expand the home). If your kids like train sets or doll houses, they'll enjoy this.
Check it out.
Most appropriate for kids at or around 4 to 10 or so (and adults who refuse to grow up!)
